FAMU Mourns Loss of Student

Early Saturday morning, 20 year old FAMU Student Quentin Langford was shot and killed, according to Tallahassee Police.

Langford was leaving a block party near the corner of Gamble and Perry Street when shots rang out. 20 year old Landsey Ellison was also shot. Ellison was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery. There is no update on his current condition.

The Rattler community was shocked once the news broke.

FAMUs Interim President Larry Robinson, Ph.D., said, “Quentin  was a strong student leader. We extend condolences and prayers to his family, and will keep Landsey and his family in our prayers.

Many people turned to social media to show their support for Langford and his family and to reflect on his life.

Extremely heartbroken,said Nashiyah Brielle in a Facebook post. Coolest dude youd ever meet in your life.

Langford was a third year construction engineering technology student from Plant City, Florida and also served as the President of the FAMU student chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.

According to Tallahassee Police Department, there has been no arrest in this case, but there is an active investigation.
